Inasa-cho
is located on the northeast shores of Lake Hamana, in the extreme
west of Shizuoka Prefecture, roughly in the center of Japan.
It extends 13 km
(8 miles)
east to west, 18 km (11 miles) north to south, with a total
land area of 121.18 km 2 (47 square miles). The climate is mild
and snow is rare. Inasa-cho enjoys the average temperature of
16C (61F) and average annual rainfalls of 1875 mm.
Inasa-cho
is famous for its historical and cultural heritage such as Iinoya
Shrine, Ryotanji Temple, Hokoji Temple, Ryugashido Limestone
Cave and you name it. Also Yoko Kabuki Play held in October
and Puppet Show Festival in November are exciting annual attractions.
It not only draws nearly 1 million visitors pre year, but it's
also ghome sweet homeh for almost 15,000 residents.
Thanks to mild climate, Inasa-cho is a producer
of flowers, greenery, vegetables, green tea and mandarin oranges.
